New Expansion: Empires of the Ascended
Overview New Expansion: Empires of the Ascended is the announcement for a Legends of Runeterra expansion, released in February 2021. Its subject is Shurima , the ancient desert empire, and the Ascended, the god-warriors at the center of that empire's history. The Expansion The set takes its name from the Ascended: Shuriman mortals raised into god-warriors through the power of the Sun Disc. Their empire once stretched from ocean to ocean before it was brought to ruin, and much of Shurima's lore turns on that fall and on the slow return of what the sands buried.
