Overview Absolution is the climactic cinematic for the Sentinels of Light event in League of Legends, released in August 2021. Featuring Lucian , Senna , Akshan , Gwen , Viego , Thresh , Vayne , Graves , Isolde, and Karma , this cinematic resolves the Ruination storyline in one of League's most emotionally powerful scenes. The Story Absolution is the culmination of the Ruination arc — the moment when Viego finally faces the truth he has spent millennia refusing to accept. The cinematic opens with Senna confronting Viego: "All this... in the name of love. All of the sacrifices that were made.
