Ruination
Overview Ruination is League of Legends' Season 2021 cinematic, released in January 2021 to open the year and introduce Viego , the Ruined King, as a playable champion. It is a canon Runeterra event, not an alternate universe, and it functions as the ignition point for the Sentinels of Light story arc that would run across the rest of the year. The film spans four regions in a single sweep — the Black Mist's origin at the Shadow Isles , then Demacia , Noxus , and Ionia — and features Viego, Senna , Lucian , Poppy , Vayne , Darius , Samira , and Karma .
