Overview Xerath Reveal is a Legends of Runeterra champion reveal for Xerath, released in August 2021 as part of the Beyond the Bandlewood expansion. The video showcases Xerath's card design as the Magus Ascendant joins LoR representing Shurima . The Story Xerath is the Magus Ascendant — a being of pure arcane energy imprisoned within a sarcophagus of enchanted stone. Once a slave in ancient Shurima, Xerath was Azir 's closest companion and most trusted advisor. But beneath their friendship lay Xerath's burning resentment of the slave system that had defined his life.
