The video announces the Darkin Saga expansion, LoR's most ambitious narrative arc, focused on the ancient Darkin and their struggle against the mortals who imprisoned them. The Story The Darkin are among Runeterra's most tragic villains — once Ascended warriors of Shurima who were elevated to near-godhood by the Sun Disc to fight the Void . When Shurima fell, these Ascended lost their purpose and descended into madness, waging wars against each other and devastating the continent.
