Kalista: The Pledge
Overview Kalista : The Pledge is a lore cinematic for League of Legends, released in November 2014. The cinematic dramatizes Kalista's defining ritual — the dark pact through which mortals bind their souls to the Spear of Vengeance in exchange for retribution against those who betrayed them. The Story The cinematic shows a mortal performing the summoning ritual — calling Kalista forth from the Black Mist to avenge a terrible wrong. The petitioner must offer up a fragment of their own soul, accepting that they will become bound to Kalista forever.
