Overview Shurima : Descent into the Tomb is a lore cinematic for League of Legends, released in September 2014 as part of the Shurima event. The cinematic focuses on Cassiopeia 's fateful expedition into an ancient Shuriman tomb — the moment that would trigger the resurrection of an empire. The Story The cinematic follows Cassiopeia Du Couteau — a Noxian noblewoman, younger sister of Katarina , and covert operative for the Black Rose — as she hires the mercenary Sivir to guide her into the buried ruins of ancient Shurima.
