The thinning of the veil between realms, which allowed the blossom to appear, also seems to have caused Yunara's temple—and the Darkin Glaive within it—to be pulled from the spirit realm into the material world, making it vulnerable.
LeBlanc's plan to acquire the glaive began long ago. After the events of "A Demon's Hand," Atakhan revealed the weapon's location to her. When Vladimir noted an invasion of Ionia was impossible, LeBlanc's response was telling.
